The Northern Housing Consortium and Consortium Procurement have worked closely with Marsh to develop a new commercial insurance solution for our members. The solution will provide our core housing members with an efficient way to obtain quotations for their insurance programmes and ultimately provide more choice. Members wishing to access the solution will appoint Marsh as a broker and work with the members to gather underwriting data, claims experience etc and prepare high-quality competition documents to be issued to all participating insurers on our Dynamic Purchasing System (DPS). Bids will be evaluated by the members in accordance with published, transparent evaluation criteria agreed with you. A minimum 60/40 quality/price split will be required, with members having the ability to allocate greater marks to quality should they wish.
The benefits to members are as follows:
- Risk quality
the minimum 60/40 quality/price split reflects that members accessing this solution will benefit from purchasing a high quality
All policy wording and claims solutions are tailored by the individual insurance provider, allowing members to access a wealth of
providers and have access to unique benefits.
Members will benefit from the DPS system by having access to multiple quotes from a variety of suppliers.
- Advisory Services
Members will benefit from independent insurance, claims and risk msmf advice from Marsh.
- Quality of submission
Marsh will work exclusively with our members to ensure that they are giving the best possible information to make an underwriting
decision as smooth as possible.
- Transparency / Conflicts of Interest
All insurers are on a level footing on the DPS system, reassuring members that all quotes and policies will be in line with the guidelines
set by the NHC Solution.
- Ease of Administration
Unlike a full OJEU tender exercise the DPS removes the need for lengthy administrative processes and allows members to submit
information with the knowledge this will not be a burdensome timescale.
- Track Record
We already offer a wide range of products and services to members – including a successful Tenants Contents Insurance
framework, with over 100 participant members.
In order to ensure that we provide the best possible options for our members, we are currently undertaking market research. We would like to ask members to complete a short survey in order to assist us with the solution, and provide essential feedback to our procurement team.
