13.02.2019 – INTRODUCING OUR BRAND NEW PROCUREMENT ROUNDTABLES
Consortium Procurement are pleased to announce the launch of our brand new Procurement Roundtables. A re-brand and refresh of our previous Procurement Reference Panels that are expanding throughout the UK.
We have historically held the Procurement Reference Panels in the North and Midlands with great success. However as the Consortium’s member base increases and expands, we felt the time was right to encompass a larger geographical scope. Introducing our Southern and Wales Roundtables allows more of our members to attend the sessions, as well as potential members that would like to have a taster of what the Roundtables are all about.
Covering various aspects of procurement, discussions include everything from current topics, sharing best practice, compliance, legislation, challenges and everything in-between. We also invite all attendees to get involved with setting the agenda by providing us with any topics they would like to cover, or any feedback they would like to share with the group.
The Roundtables also serve as an excellent networking opportunity in which procurement professionals from within the area have a unique chance to share best practice, ideas and experiences. Often at our sessions attendees are able to share challenges they face or situations they have come across within their organisation and receive ideas, recommendations and solutions.
The very first Southern and Wales Procurement Roundtables were held in January and were both immensely successful. Camden Councils Category Manager Steven Blantz stated the following after attending:
“Our relationship has grown to a stage where Camden were delighted to host the first London Procurement Reference Panel. The agenda was interesting; topical and diverse. This stimulated the room and enabled significant engagement and debate from the attendees on wide range of matters. We look forward to the next event!”
Our Roundtables are currently held on a quarterly basis in the North, Midlands, South and Wales, with potential of expansion in the future. All Consortium Procurement members are able to attend these free of charge as part of their annual membership.
